Before and After-School Care
AlphaBEST is NSSD112's before-school and after-school care provider. Before-school and after-school care is available for students at Braeside, Indian Trail, Oak Terrace, Ravinia, Red Oak, Sherwood and Wayne Thomas.

About AlphaBEST
AlphaBEST programs are designed to give you peace of mind when your child is not in school. Experienced, caring, and licensed staff ensure your child is safe, engaged, and happy! Every student participates in enrichment activities every day, at no additional charge! Coding, Robotics, Art, Drama, Spanish, Mandarin, Sign Language, Fitness & Sports, and Engineering/Maker Activities keep your child engaged and having fun every day at AlphaBEST! Snacks, homework help, recreation, and student-choice clubs are also provided to every student.
When There's No School
AlphaBEST will offer full-day holiday programs on select days when District 112 schools are not in session during the 2026-2027 school year.
Programs are currently scheduled for:
- September 21: Yom Kippur
- October 12: Institute Day
- November 11: Veterans Day
- November 23-24: Parent-Teacher Conferences
- December 18, 21-23 and 28-30: Winter Break
- February 15: Presidents Day
- March 22-26: Spring Break
Registration will be available separately for these programs. AlphaBEST is currently finalizing the registration calendar and online registration link. Program locations and registration information will be added when they are confirmed by AlphaBEST.

Concern Form
For non-urgent but important concerns, families can use our new before- and after-school care concern form to notify the district. This form helps us track and address issues while keeping communication clear and consistent. It will be monitored regularly.
